Dear South Central Destination Imagination Friends,

The time has come for us to step aside from our duties as South Central Regional Directors and CreateME Board Members.  We have enjoyed eighteen years of volunteer involvement wearing many hats - parents, team managers, appraisers, coordinators, and regional directors in creative problem-solving programs in Maine, Tennessee, New York, and New Hampshire.  We anticipate that we will continue our involvement with Brunswick teams.

We have seen the benefits for many hundreds of students in elementary, junior high, and high schools as a result of their involvement on teams.  These students show growth in responsibility, cooperation, and problem-solving skills and come away from each DI season with a new-found confidence and enthusiasm for life-long learning.

CreateME is powered by dedicated individuals who become team managers, appraisers, and volunteers to provide opportunities for the teams to practice instant challenge, to develop their solutions, and to present their solutions at Regional and State Tournaments.  We thank each of you for your involvement in the South Central Regional Tournaments and other DI events held at Brunswick High School during our seven-year tenure.

We hope that there are some individuals who will step forward into leadership roles to ensure that there will continue to be opportunities for the kids involved in creative problem-solving endeavors.  Please contact Richard Fernald, State Affiliate Director of CreateME at idodi@aol.com to let him know how you would like to become involved.
